The big news however, came towards the end where Elon Musk showed off the new Tesla Roadster!
The Tesla Roadster is the quickest car in the world, with record-setting acceleration, range and performance – designed for Performance and Aero Efficiency.
It can go from 0-60mph in just 1.9 seconds with a top speed over 250 miles per hour with a mind blowing 620 mile range on a single charge.

New documentary Graphic Means, set for release in 2017, will explore the techniques used before computers were there to help. Focusing on the period from the 1950s to the 1990s, the independent film will look at how designers used their hands, industrial typesetting machines and their imaginations to bring type and imagery together.

A company called Aectual has created a method for 3D printing flooring, first they print the shape and then come back and fill it with Terrazzo. Very Cool!
Here’s an application for 3D printing that will probably be more useful to most people than trinkets, homemade guns, and prototype parts: Floors. The Dutch company Aectual is using huge robots to make cool, completely customizable floors designed to be walked on by hundreds of thousands of people in airports and other public spaces. After installing its first floor at Loft’s flagship store in Tokyo, the company plans to install a new one at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport in November.

Apple fans, you now have an elegant and official accessory for your MacBook Laptop. A sleek new leather sleeve in Saddle Brown and Midnight Blue.
Apple has been making gadgets for decades. And as one of the world’s favorite consumer electronics makers, the company has also made plenty of cases and sleeves to protect those gadgets, most notably for the iPhone and iPad. But Apple has never made its own laptop/MacBook sleeve, until today.
The laptop sleeve comes in Saddle Brown and Midnight Blue, and is made from ‘high-quality European leather with a soft microfiber lining’, according to the company’s website.

Tesla recently announced their Solar Roof initiative and it is looking like it will ultimately be cheaper than traditional roofing techniques!
Good news for those who have been eyeing Tesla’s new Solar Roof – the company just announced pricing for its photovoltaic tiles, and they come in at just $21.85 per square foot. That’s nearly 20 percent cheaper than a normal roof once you factor in the energy savings and tax credits.
Tesla’s sought-after Solar Roof tiles are made of glass layered over a photovoltaic substrate, and they serve as a replacement for traditional roofing materials. This ensures they look like the “real thing” from the ground – even though they accomplish much more than a standard roof.
